no, however it does show up as an amphetamine, one good indicator of that is the last half of the drug name- phenter-mine... narcotics tend to be similar in this way as well i.e. hydrocodone (vicodin), oxycodone (oxycontin) ect.
I have been on phentermine for a few months and took a drug test recently, I told them before hand that I was on this medication and they informed me that I would test positive for amphetamines, but as long as you tell them upfront it's usually not a big deal.
