I take megestro to decrease heavy menstrual bleeding. I was wondering since it is a hormone will it increase my risk for ovarian cancer.
Does Megestrol Acetate increase my risk for cancer?

There may be increased risk of both benign and malignant tumors of the breast, but no mention about ovarian cancer. Oncologic side effects including tumor flare (with or without hypercalcemia) have been reported.
