Although I haven't seen it used that often, magnesium citrate (which is a water soluble magnesium compound) there is information out available that indicates that magnesium compounds (the absorbed ones - magnesium oxide and hydroxide are poorly absorbed and tend to be fairly ineffective) may be useful as an anti-stress mineral.
