I take 30 mg in the am and 30mg @ 2 pm, I just started working, roofing. I've been experiencing heat strokes everyday. Would Adderall have any effect on that? or is it just the heat, everyone else can seem to stand it. It's been 97 degrees with 107 heat index. I'm used to working outside on roofs and haven't experienced problems like I have: breathing, dizziness, and stomache sickness.
Does heat effect lung problems with Adderall?

Its not from smoking my friend its definantly the adderall you might want to read the instructions that comes with the adderall it clearly states all of the above symptoms you are experiencing. It does suggest however as do i that you take some time out during the day like an interval of every 2 hours in possibly AC or shaded trees to prevent or help this from happening or causing further problems i.e. dizziness,stomache pain,and trouble breathing. Please be cautious taking this medication and be sure to give your body some rest away from the heat. Hope this was helpful your friend michelle. P.S. How long have you been taking this med as it can cause stomache pain up to 2 weeks the dizziness is from the exposure to the heat for a long period of time and the trouble breathing might be from too high of a dose. What is the mg's you are taking and what did they start you out with? please if you can give me this detailed information i can help you more to understand the reason for shortness of breath.

Sorry i just read you are taking 30mg and i forgot that was what you had said in the very beginning. Did they immediatly start you on this dose? if they had they should have started you on the 15mg. If you can indure the remainder of the stomache pains it should go away if the shortness of breath continues please seek medical care immediatly(see your doc to discuss lowering your dose.

I take 30 mg in the morning, and quit taking it in the afternoon. I've been taking it for about 3 months, I just started working after almost a year, and my first week was hell, I passed out from the 107 temp. just wondering if the adderall was the cause of it, or just the heat. Thanx for your input. Everyone i talked to said it's just the heat, but I just wanted to know if the adderall was the problem.

Your welcome my son has been taking this med since Dec. of 09 so i have seen the way he acts when he is in the son for long periods of time and gosh he is awful he will get upset at the littlest things. When he is out of the heat on the otherhand he is fine i know this may seem like it for a lot of people but kids should be able to handle the heat better than adults. Yeah its definantly the adderall. Please before taking meds get a consult from the pharmacist or read instructions so you can always be aware of what can happen when taking medication.
I don't have any problem with my anger, I take zoloft also, but I was just having problems breathing and it was making my dizzy, I cut my dosage to a half in the morning and the other half @2. Feeling better now on the roof, I don't see my doctor for another 2 months so I'll just stick to what I'm doing now. Although half doesn't really do much, but it's better than falling off the roof. thanx again
