My mom has a prescription for this drug and she is allergic to sulfa drugs. She is concerned because she has had some itching that is severe and wanted to know if this could be the reason?

No, felodipine is not a sulfa drug.
Felodipine is in a group of drugs called calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing the muscles of your heart and blood vessels.
Felodipine is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure).
