Does Effexor work for panic attacks?

Hi, I guess this question was asked a while ago but I figured I'd throw in my 2 cents in case it's of use to anyone else. I personally suffer from anxiety panic attacks and related depression and was at the point where I didn't think anyone could help me and effexor really did work for me. Its been about 3 years now I have been all the way up to 225mg and then down to 150 today is actually my first day at 75. I am really sick of being on it now I feel like I'm apathetic towards everything, my sex drive has plummeted and I have put on about 30kg... I really don't know what I can attribute to the pills but yea I feel like I want to continue living again. Looking back on it now I think going on effexor was really a massive relief but I think there should be more of a plan on what to do once u start down that path cause I think you just get given the pills and left to your own devices.

Also I know myself if I miss my pill one day by the next morning I feel like death (dizzy, naushious, crying for no reason) so I really recommend taking ur pill at a regular time every day and if u feel the urge to stop see ur doc and step down gradually. I'm thinking of spending a month or two on 75 then going down to 32.5 for a while.
