Does cause weight gain, and water retain, I all ready have these problem and I am on a diet pill to?

Any estrogen can cause weight gain, edema, hirsutism, excessive bleeding, thrombi in legs, risk of stroke, MI, jaundice and bile duct inflammation, depression, increased risk of breast cancer, uterus adenocarcinoma, cervical cancer.
It is mandatory to monitor estrogen therapy in patients of heart disease.
Adding a progesterone decreases risk of uterus cancer but increases risk of breast cancer and impairs glucose tolerance. It lowers excessive bleeding.
So it depends of factors. Like if you already had hystrectomy, there is no risk of adenocarcinoma uterus. If hot flushes, sweat, insomnia are only problems then low dose estrogen is sufficient.
You are a patient with a history of heart disease and cancer. So, you need special monitoring by doctors. Exercise well and quit smoking if u practice since it increases risk of stroke.

Consult your doc on slightest problem.
