I have just started having severe anxiety attacks yesterday, and my doctor just put me on Buspar, I have had many attacks today, how soon will it help? I feel like I am about to loose my mind!
Does Buspar releave symptoms fast?

Hey Poojo,
It will take a week or so for the Buspar to build in your system and begin to work. It may take several weeks to reach maximum effectiveness. You'll need to be patient and give the medication time to work. You may have to have the dosage increased before it completely controls the anxiety.
In case you weren't aware, Buspar should always be taken the same way, either always with food or always with out food.

Laurie is right Please try and bear with it I had these problems earlier in my life at first it may seem like Buspar isn't going to help as with many other medications it is a matter of taking time! just be patient I wish you the very best of luck with this!
