Yes. While Aviane is not a typical drug of choice for treating acne it is often prescribed when contraception is also required.
Aviane alters hormonal patterns. By reducing the amount of testosterone within the body it often improves hormonal-based acne breakouts. When testosterone production is suppressed, the amount of oil produced by the sebaceous glands is reduced. The chance of pore blockages is also reduced.
