I have been taking aromasin for 7 months, can hardly do anything with my hands. I'am scheduled to see a surgeon next week. Is this a normal side-effect? Xrays showed arthritis and cists on the navicular bone. My hands hurt so much it hurts to even brush my teeth. I have Breast Cancer.

AROMASIN (exemestane) Tablets, unfortunately some of the common side effects reported are: aching/painful joints and muscles, if any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist who prescribed the med.
Since the doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Glad you are going to see a surgeon!
I switched medicines and took a "med break"
to try determine what could be causing my
shoulder & knee pain (psoriatic arthritis).
For me medicine was completely unrelated.
Speak to your prescribing doctor if you are
concerned about how Aromasin is effecting
you. The prescriber should have the most
info regarding pain correlating to your medicine
