Lower back pain could be a sign of kidney problems. No, Vesicare should not make you urinate more frequently as it is used to treat overactive bladder and should reduce urination frequency. Lower back pain in conjunction with your frequency issues could be serious and you should inform your doctor immediately.

Vesicare is used to treat overactive bladder, so it should make you urinate less not more. Sounds to me like the Vesicare is not working as it should although 8 times a day (in 16 hours) is not that frequent. Sounds to me like you need to speak with the doc again to let him know of the depression and back pain.
