Miralax (Polyethylene glycol 3350) increases the amount of water in the intestinal tract to stimulate bowel movements. It usually works within 1 to 3 days of using the medication. Polyethylene glycol 3350 normally causes loose or even watery stools.
Colace is a stool softener. It works by helping fat and water into the stool mass to soften
the stool.
The only way you will find out which works better is to try the MiraLax.
