... morning before he took his oxytocin?

Yes!! Never, I repeat Never, do you want to drug a person without there consent/ knowledge. I get the feeling of desperation from this question, and, if your boyfriend is an addict and you want to see him quit, that's completely understandable. But drugging his morning coffee is not the solution, and can possibly make the situation worse by doing so. Not only is this a felonious crime, but there could be dire consequences. would you be willing to accept the consequences of your action if, by chance, he had a reaction to the suboxone/ oxy combo that sent him to the E.R? What about when he notices his coffee has a foul, orange suboxone-like taste and figures out you drugged him? I understand that you want help, but he has to be willing to quit in order for him to actually do so. You can start by calling the drug abuse prevention line, the number is 1-800-729-6686. They have a list of resources that may help you. Also, the Drug and alcohol abuse referral line, 1-800-662-help. I hope this helps you, god bless, Manda
*nevermind the comment i just posted directly above; I have had a long nite and re~read my answer wrong. Yes, it is a bad idea.
When you think about it, WOW!!
He might realize that the Oxy. is not working and he just might take more and more. He has to want to become free of his addiction. Talk it over with him then go to the NAABT.org web page and have him find a doctor to work with him. He must realize he has support of you that is more than what most addicts have. SUPPORT....
I guess that is my question...would the soboxone even work? I know it sounds a little unconventional, but it was actually a friend that suggested to me. With the same intention that if he started to feel better it would be a little easier to get him to a proper doctor...I just don't want to harm him!
The Sub. would work but the Oxy. would not work. So he would take more, and more to try to get his high. But that would not happen.
Remember no matter what you do, if he does not want to be clean. He will not get clean. Talking to him is your first move and if he wants to get life together. I hope he wants to and his life will be so much better. Do not let him go cold turkey. He needs to be monitored by a good Doctor.

Doesn't he get a high from the sub as well? I really appreciate your answers.
from what i understand the suboxone won't work if it goes into your stomach because the stomach acids destroy it. also i would be afraid that if he did absorb a little it could make him really sick since you can't mix suboxone w/ opiates. besides that, the other suggestions sound much better for getting him help w/ his addiction.
also, i've never been able to get a buzz off my suboxone.
He is going to call a doctor Monday morning who specifically works with addiction to pain meds...I can't count the number of times I have seen my boyfriend drug sick. Drugs are a prison and I wouldn't wish drug addiction on my worse enemy. And although the idea of putting suboxone in his coffee still sounds good (to me) He is lucky I don't want to kill him! I hope SUPPORT and a LOW STRESS environment help too!

NO!!!!! I have no idea why my first word is yes; The Answer IS NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
