My husband released from hospital yesterday. 5 days post knee replacement, He is on 30 days injection of Dalteparin. History: Cancer Pt. He has had brain surgery and also 2 Gamma knife procedures. He is being treated for gastritis following stomach surgery. DVT in leg 2 years ago with placement of Vena Cava cath. After 2 failed chemo sessions, he takes Leukine 2 wks/ on-2wks off. He had a stroke in Feb '09. I am concerned about another blood clot but more so re another bleed from brain or stomach. They did not DC the asprin 81 mg daily. He does not see his orthopedist until 9/16. There are no plans to monitor his blood so it doesn't get too thin.
