fungirl73I am 52 and have not had a period for 12 months. but I started having bad hot flashes and sweating all day and night. I went to a the doctor he gave me a sample of femhrt low dose. it stopped the hot flashes but I got a period now for three days today. is that normal. I don't smoke and always had my period on time. I wanted to know how long the bleeding stays. is it llike a period .

Thank you. I don't know if I should go off it. I just started it. for the hot flashes. but I will call tommarow. It feels like a period it is on and off all day light to heavy. with cramps. It is a low dose of femhrt he gave me because of the hot flashes. I took it the first week then I got a period. I called the nurse she said it was normal. I just wanted to know how long the period will last. it is 3 days now going on 4. thankyou
