If i started taking Loestrin a week after my period, would my period only come after i am done with while pills and onto my brown ones? or should i still expect my period on schedule from the last period?

It is hard to say. Sometimes it takes a few cycles for the rhythm to settle in. BCP do usually change your cycle a bit to where your period will eventually come during the week of the inactive pills but like I said, it may take a few cycles to do this. It will be difficult to plan for your periods for a few months. It could start early, on time, or late, maybe even not at all. It will usually be lighter than your normal flow though. Just be ready for it in the two weeks before you start the inactive pills until you see how you will react. Sometimes, in the beginning, you may have some breakthrough bleeding in the middle of your cycle as your hormones start to regulate. After a few packs you should settle in to where your period comes during your week of inactive pills. Sorry I could not be more helpful than this. It is just that everyone reacts differently.

You really are supposed to start the pills during your period, this helps regulate the cycle and help protect against pregnancy, your cyle will likely be messed up and you need to wait until you are thru with your second batch o active pills before you start having unprotected sex.you could still skp your period during the inactive, and NOT be pregnant, but you could also have a cycle week. There is a reason they tell you to start it on the first Sunday of your period or the Friday after you start. Be careful.

Patti is right. I thought I read that you had already started the pills the week after your period so I wasnt even going to address that at this point but if you have not started them you should wait until your period and start either the first day of your period or the Sunday after you start. It really can screw your cycle up pretty good if you dont start them properly so it is very important to start them correctly.
