My bub is in agony all day and night he has constant wind and stomach pain his tummy makes popping noises he has congestion all the time and a rash on his face and head, to sum it up he is miserable he has been to hospital a few times put on Zantac and pepti jnr which he choked on :-( and the Zantac didn't seem to help anyway it looks like he is dairy intolerant and put on elecare he has been on it now for 3 days and gotten worse so I'm not sure if it's the elecare working to get rid of all the dairy or if he is reacting bad to the elecare but his rash is worse and he spits up green mucus now and his poo is full of mucus he also is in worse pain and can't sleep at all... Pls help!!!

You need to take him to the ER and not leave until your son is seen by a specialist (meaning a pediatric gastroenterologist). I can't not believe they are giving a baby zantac! Have they done any ultra sounds? I am not a doctor, but I am a mom. Go back and demand your son gets proper attention. I dont want to scare you but something more could be the problem than a allergy to dairy. Please keep us posted and all the best sweetheart. I am sure everything will be all right just stick to your guns!!

Dear Kim: My heart goes out to you, as I had a very sick baby too. You do not mention how old your baby is, or what you feed him. You MUST give up the notion that doctors are Gods and realize that they are human too. Don't put them on a pedestal now, as this is your baby's health you are talking about! I learned that the hard way. First, you must find a pediatric gastroenterologist. Make sure that they know that it is an emergency appt. If you do not live in a city that has one, take your baby to a University Hospital wherever you are!! If you have to drive several hours, so be it. This is your baby's life you are talking about and something is very wrong. I don't mean to scare you, but this could be serious, and obviously, you are not happy with the treatment he has been receiving. One thing that I have learned, is not to take 'no' for an answer, and I don't care what a doctor or other nurses think about me.

Thanks so much for your reply :-) trust me darl I'm going out of my mind, he has been admitted to hospital 4 times had bloods taken been checked by 6 different peadiatric dr,s that all say he examines perfect!! I also never mentioned he had a streak of blood in his spit and breathing fast, well they all put that down to bronch and a little tear in his tummy I have demanded ultrasounds and they won't refer me they all say it's a waste of time and money, but in saying all that, he slept great last night and is so happy and pain free today :-) he is like a different bub at only 12 weeks and going through all this is so heartbreaking for me to watch him struggle but hopefully it's all good from here, I have another pediatric app this Friday and I can promise I'm not leaving there without a refferal for a ultrasound just to be 100% sure my little guy is fine!! Thanks so much for your response :-)
