I have been drinking since 17 and am 40 now. I started antabuse 10 days ago and crave alcohal like crazy. I'm thinking of going off and having fun for the weekend. I read your comments. Any advice?
I think drinking is associated with avoidance at home... any thoughts?

Hello banzoolute. Just wanted to add my thoughts to your question. Years ago I was taking antabuse, and drank while taking it. I almost died. If you decide to drink, I'm not one to say yes you should or should not. Thats your choice. I will say though, make certain theres no antabuse left in your system. The more alcohol consumed, and if theres antabuse in your body, theres the very real situation of facing some life threatening side effects. Best to wishes,

I am on Disulfiram and have been experiencing severe anxiety attacks?

Thank-you pledge. Thank-you for the support. I have not created a proper network of friends to help me through this period. AA never worked for me, right now I'm dealing with the urge to go and have fun. I think your advise will help me. Wish me luck.
Very good banzoolute. Just again,( I know I'm repeating) make certain you've no antabuse in your system. It literally works much like a bomb. Any alcohol when taken will set if off. Very dangerous when combined. Best thing would be not to drink at all, but you are in control of that. Best wishes to you,
