Thank you for the information. I hope I can stop taking Paxil soon and that the hot and sweaty effects that I am experiencing will go away. I will be 63 yrs old in a few days, weigh 115 lbs and have never been on any medication in my life until two years ago. What a bummer. I wish I could get rid of the high blood pressure. Again, thank you for your answer!!!
Unfortunately high blood pressure catches us when we get older, even tho you're not overweight.

Do you experience any dizziness or other symptoms when you get these sweats?
I do not experience any dizziness or other symptoms, just get so hot and start dripping perspiration. I am using the Paxil to help me be able to cope with things in my life that I can't change. I am not per say depressed, just in a position that I am not happy and it causes me to become stressed. Any suggestions other than Paxil that will help me?
I highly recommend talk therapy if you aren't already doing so. You can learn to cope with stressful events in life and maybe get off the Paxil
