Diabetes, Type 2 - My wife is a diebetic,type 2.and out of control.her numbers are sometimes higher than what the meter can read,for us is 30 or 32.and I am giving her,sometimes 60 units of Humalog fast acting,and that scares me,either way,but she refuses to go in.

Wow that is alot of insulin. I think she needs to go to the doctor that is just out of hand like crazy uncontrollable. I have an aunt that took that many units and she ended up on an insulin pump this might be best for your wife since she takes so many units. Please convince her to go see the doctor when my aunt was doing this many units and her readings had dropped down to 34 she was not all there and tried to fight the ambulance guys when they tried to give her insulin to help her cause it dropped so low she was incoherent. This is definantly not good she needs help immediatley.

Mrs. Page is right, she needs help, please seek medical help ASAP, I inject 60 IU of insulin in 3 days, that is much too much insulin, take good care.
I hope your wife has gone in to seen the doctor and if possible get her to and Endocrinologist to help her with her diabetic situation because her glucose leavels are very high and can be very harmful
