Please could someone help me? Does anyone know of the withdrawal effects of reducing Phenytoin?

"... Abrupt withdrawal of phenytoin in epileptic patients may precipitate status epilepticus. When, in the judgment of the clinician, the need for dosage reduction, discontinuation, or substitution of alternative antiepileptic medication arises, this should be done gradually."

Cough - Can we combine the use of c-phen dm drops and pediatex td?

My 24 month old has been non stop coughing to the point where the gag reflex kicked in and he threw up. I gave hime the c-phen at aprox. 9 pm
