rawbootsI have been diagnosed with depression and am bi-polar. My question is: Are there any medications out there that can help me with both dianoses and that will not mess with what sex drive that I have left. Im currently taking Wellbutrin which is not supposed to have sexual side affects. I can say it most certainly does effect my sex drive.

pretty much every med for depression CAN have these side effects. if it does you may need to change meds if its causing distress. Also depression is part of bipolar so anti psychotic medications as well as ssri/snri's are things you would normally be given for these disorders. (do you also have mania or no)

no mania. ive had the depression for a while . bn takn meds for it for only a year. the side effects suck. i was put on paxil n after 3 days I stopt that .made me a flaccid zombie.
how does the zoloft make you feel ? im currently on bupropion 300 mg once a day (wellbutrin). it makes me irritable, agitated alot, no motivation, heart papulations, im short tempered, i sleep allllllll the time, constant dry mouth and eyes and mostly i cant concentrate. the sexual drive is noy there. however once i get into the mood (which is less often), i dont have a problem finishing, its just startn n kpn it going.
wow thats way too many side effects, you should have your doc change your meds. I have no side effects from zoloft and it just makes me not feel depressed unless its a time that its okay to feel sad (some one dies or something of that nature). I used to have suicidal thoughts on a daily basis for 4 years and now i just dont have them (im also seeing a psychologist and my major is psychology though). i think you should call your doc on monday for an appointment cuz those are some pretty bad sounding side effects

actually i understand the no motivation but its the best possible thhing you can do for depression. You can always think of reasons not to do something just as easy as you can come up with the opposit. plus actually doing something you wernt motivated to do before can cause dopamine release into your body which is the reward system for the body
