... time I stop about a year later I am having regular periods. I am 28 now and I would like to start having kids..will being on Depo decrease my chances of getting pregnant? I hear these horror stories of women having miscarriages or not being able to concieve, however I have a friend who actually concieved twice while on Depo..are my fears legitimate? or do I not have anything to worry about?

Depo-Provera does not reduce your chances of getting pregnant.
Women who want to become pregnant may stop using Depo-Provera at any time. For some women, fertility returns immediately. For others, it may take 6 to18 months or longer for the body's hormone cycle to go back to normal.
Provided you and your partner have no other medical problems, you should be able to look forward to starting a family in the future. All the best.
