My insurance does not cover the Deplin L-Methylfolate and I am trying to see if I can find a generic form or a discounted way to purchase it. It really helps with depression and just my overall well-being! I have not had it filled again due to the price. :-(
Is Deplin L-Methylfolate and Levomefolic Acid the same thing?

This is a complicated question. Here is an answer that was provided on this site in 2009:
http://www.drugs.com/answers/l-methylfolate-can-i-substitute-this-for-deplin-135049.html
My research says that answer makes it sound as complicated as it really is. The conversation needs to be with your doctor. The compounds are similar, but are not exactly the same. Your doctor will have to determine exactly how to handle the dosing, etc.
The drug company has coupons for those who are under insured or with no insurance. After speaking with your doctor, I would contact the drug company for assistance.

I suggest you contact them and explain your situation, perhaps they may be able to help you.

The only thing they will do is divide your 90 day prescription into 3 payments of $48 instead of charging you $144 all at once for a 3 month supply. They won't come down on the price. I've talked to them many times and it doesn't change.
Well, I am truly sorry for you. Try and have a more positive mental attitude, you´ll see things become more manageable to say the least.
All the best,
