Depakote ER - Does anyone know of any reason that a Depakote level would just drop? I take my?

Are you sure your episode of a near grand mal seizure occurred because of low Depakote levels? It is hard to say how your levels would drop if you've been taking it regularly.

Were you taking any other medicines, apart from Lamictal and Keppra?

I have been on depakote er for eight days now and i recently got my bloodwork done, my neurologist called me yesterday and told me that my level is at a 38-she said she wants to increase it to-2 pills (500mgs) in the am and 2 pills in the pm. We did have a schedule that she wanted me to follow 1 pill-days 1-5 in the pm, 1 pill-days 6-10 in the am & pm and 1 pill am and 2 pills-days 11-15 (and beyond, if successful). I tried lamictal and trileptal and those did not work. I am now on my third seizure med of depakote er. I am taking 4000 mgs of keppra in the am and in the pm. I do hear you about being tired... i am too! I am hoping depakote er is going to be the one for me...

Mine dropped from a high level to a 7 and had a gran mal seizure. They said it wasbecause of alcohol.
