I don't know about when to start but on the acne topic, I've been on trisprintec (I think it's a generic for trinessa) for years and my severe acne has cleared since I started. I took a year off and the acne returned but 3 months after I started the pill again it all cleared and have been acne free. *I used to be on Accutane before birth control. *my body loves trisprintec and HATES trinessa (extreme mood swings & bloating).
