Michelle, I didn't really understand what you wanted us to comment on, I read your post a couple of times and couldn't figure out if you wanted us to rate darvocet, say whether we had the disrhytmia, or what you were asking. It worked for me on a migraine and some other pain, but, I ended up needed more than was recommended. It actually is a kind of weak heroin inbred cousin.

Hi mrspage, this comes as no suprise to me around this time last year propoxyphene was already under investigation for causing more harm than good to the human body.I believe Eli Lilly was the original pharmaceutical company to come out with the drug over 50 years ago.this drug works the same way methadone does.and it may be closely related to it.the only reason i even know this bit of information was because my mother was on this drug from the time i was very young.it was called darvon 65 and had a small round ball inside the capsules.then darvon n 100 it contained napsalate to stop the the drug from spiking and would keep it at a certain level... pete p.s. and you thought no one was going to answer.have faith in our little here a drugs.com (;-)
Yeah it is the weekend and a Sunday on top of that, it is 78 degrees where I am and partly cloudy, but also partly sunny. People are out shopping, at Church, doing yard work to prepare for the cold season.

Hi, it's been awhile, how are you? It is the propoxyphene that Darvocet containes that is the culprit in causing heart problems. It is also in some other drugs, you can't know w/out looking up your meds to find out or easiest, call pharmacist and ask if your medication contains that. For people like me who already have heart murmers and a history of heart disease in my family, it's kind of scary. If you've taken it and have any of those problems, probably a good idea to get an ekg or echo cardiogram. Also, a blood test will tell you if you have an inflammation around your heart, as i do right now, or at least did at least blood check a month ago. I need to see cardiologist prior to having my hip surgery anyway, always a good idea to do that before surgeries, and also, trying to get dental work done before surgery, as i have a click murmer in mitral valve, meaning bacteria can get in

I see many lawsuits in the future and a court system too burdened to handle them, and our tax dollars squandered on the wrong things. We need research, we make mistakes. But did the company pay attention to the bad things or just watch the profits grow? I know many who have taken and depended on Darvon and Darvocet. It is possible there was nothing else for them to take at the time.
