I am destined to have a CT guided needle biopsy tomorrow, but I need to take a pain-killer today. I pulled a muscle in my shoulder and need something for pain. I have darvocet-100 available.
Darvocet-N 100 - I have been instructed not to take aspiran, would taking Darvocet-100 be OK?

I would think darvocet would be ok since it has tylenol in it. Darvocet (propoxyphene) is a very weak pain killer and isn't used much anymore. Extra strength tylenol would probably give you the same amount of pain relief. Make sure you are able to take Tylenol before you take anything... Good luck... Dave

If you are allergic to aspirin do not take this drug!! I am and my ears rang for days which is what happens to me when I take aspirin!! Also keep in mind that darvocet is being taken off of the market very very soon!! Not soon enough if you ask me! You probably are better off taking tylenol. Try to get tylenol 3 even --anything but darvocet! Hope this helps!!! M
