After taking Xifaxan 200mg twice daily for 2 weeks I experienced a rapid weight gain of 9 lbs. which is not coming off. After my stomach bypass all foods, except sugars, pass without being absorbed. Could this treatment interfere with that process and cause my body to no longer function as before?
Could weight gain 7 years after stomach bypgass be caused by Xifaxan?
