Could betadine used during eye surgery cause permanent photophobia as an allergic reaction?

Permanent photophobia is not a known side effect of Betadine Ophthalmic Solution... however, it may be the cause. Only known side effect is local sensitivity.

Thanks for your answer I had eye surgery two years ago with betadine, and now need to wear sunglasses year round outside. I had been diagnosed with betadine allergy prior to surgery, but it was used by mistake.
