Yesterday I had a series of Cortisone shots and may need more. The numbness lasted almost 8 hours but seems I got some relief for my Osteoarthritis (hip and butt muscles). Sounds like I will need more according to the doctor. Has anyone had any luck with theses shots?

i used to get the shots every 6months for a accident i had in 1998 for my shoulder and my dr then said its not recommended to get the shots too many times in one yr as it could cause problems. i went to a specialist several yrs back for a shot in my tail bone for my chronic pain in my right side and it lasted for 9months and boy that was great, it was called a cordal something i cant remember the rest, i wish my insurance would cover it now as id go back for another injection. those kinds of shots dont last long i know but hopefully you will get some kind of relief if you see a specialist in this field. good luck and let me know what happens.
