Exactly one week ago I got the Mirena IUD inserted and I've been experiencing some after effects.
1. Usually I cramp up at least once a day, nothing bad, just mildly uncomfortable for a minute or too.
2. I feel like I have to urinate more frequent than normal, but it's not every day. It is very random, like today I feel like I have to pee every couple of minutes.
3. My doctor said afterwards black or dark brown spots would come out, it's nothing to worry about, just dried blood. But I figured that would have all been out by now, but it is still bad and has an unpleasant iron odor.
Are these normal side effects? How long does these things typically last and is there anything I can do to stop these things from occurring?
