actually the first answer you recieved was rite and wrong! you cannot buy codeine/promethazine without a perscription that i know of. but you can buy codeine/guaifenesin cough syrup OTC (over the counter, without a perscription). it is known as cheratussin AC.it is widely available but depending on state law it may or may not be. for example i live in wisconsin and i can buy a bottle for ten dollars without a perscription no problem.im not sure if it is the same everywhere but here you cannoy buy it at large coorperate pharmacies like walgreens you have to go to a smaller private owned "mom & pop" type pharmacies. each of these pharmacies that do sell it each have there own set of rules. one place required an I.D. that specified you lived in that area and another required that i have had perscriptions filled there previously. also im pretty sure you can only buy 1 bottle 40z. (118ml) a month appx.
no, timwallace, it is legal in the us, but as the previous stated, in 4oz doses, i thought it was one a week but that was just hear say. i know its true cause i just got the last one from my pharm. however he said he didnt know when he would re-up.(get some more for you old farts lol) so idk if its becoming difficult or not, 4 oz is not alot tho plus its not near as good as tussinex or codeine-promethazine. also, promethazine is phenergan(idk if i spelled it right) if u need promethazine, go tell the dr ur nauseated and need some pheneragan cause it worked last time, then hit up your local pharm for some cheratussin, and just like that you can get your lean fix.
geez guys I'm not a drug seeker I just got some 25mg tabs from my doc once and discovered the antihistamine properties worked better than benadryl for allergies. And it's spelled Phenegran for the record. And it's not a narcotic (sorry I can't see your name..started with a 'C') it's in the phenothazine class, with very good antihistamine properties. Thanks for the answers folks.

yes you do need a prescription for promethazine w/codeine . as far as the narcotic mention, yes this is a schedule V drug (because of the codeine). schedule V being the most likely to be misused or habit forming but there is some dependance potential. you need a prescription for promethazine ALONE... However that in itself is not a narcotic.

Are you talking about buying this in Canada or US? I have never heard of being able to by Codine without a perscription any where or mixed with any thing liquid or pill form. I'm suprised that you can get it in Cananda too. I live in a small town in North Dakota I have never tried it but I would be shocked if I could accually get it with out a perscription.
I wasn't talking about codeine... don't need/want it. Promethazine works better than benadryl for me for allergies is all. But thanks for the informative answer.
