nowrnvrCan Clonidine be purchased legally in the usa without an rx online? If not and one has no insurance what is a possible route to obtain this medication to aid in opiate wds? Obviously i assume there is nothing otc that contains or compares to clonidine is this correct?

Clonidine hydrochloride is a prescription medication that comes in a few different forms and is approved for a few different uses. Clonidine products include:
Clonidine immediate-release tablets (Catapres), approved for treating high blood pressure
Clonidine patches (Catapres-TTS), approved for treating high blood pressure
Clonidine extended-release tablets (Kapvay), approved to treat attention deficit disorder (ADHD)
Clonidine extended-release tablets and liquid (Nexiclon XR), approved to treat high blood pressure
Clonidine epidural infusion (Duraclon), approved for treating severe cancer pain.
Don't think so anything could be in the form of OTC comparable with Clonidine, maybe taking to a pharmacist to buying the med with an Rx would help.

Clonidine is available by prescription only in the US. There is nothing OTC that is similar to clonidine. Clonidine is an older medication and fairly inexpensive though even without insurance. My son takes clonidine and a 90 day supply (so 90 tabs) is usually less than 10 dollars for generic clonidine. Catapress is the brand name..
