If the doctor prescribed it to be taken 3 times a day you need to give it to him 3 times per day. You may need to wake him up and have him take a dose. They need to be given every 8 hours. If you find this difficult, call his doctor and see if he can take it a little sooner than every 8 hours or maybe they can prescribe him something else that is only twice a day. Good luck!
