Chloroquine - Can the tablets be crushed for a child that is unable to swallow pills?

Chloroquine is highly bitter molecule & a lot of masking is done when the pills are punched, it is not recommended to crush the pill, however a doc./pharmacist might be of more help, it is normally taken with glass full of water and with food to lessen stomach upset. Hope this helps?
