I am preparing for Lap Band surgery hopefully in May 2010 and must convert to chewable prescription drugs. I need to find a chewable substitute for Fluoxetine 40 mg (Prozac), Ranitidine 300 mg (for acid reflux), and Metformin 500 mg for pre-diabetes. Since these are "time-releasing" drugs, you can't crush them, and I can't take them whole because it will block my stomach opening.
