Can I take Chantix to quit smoking if I am on Cymbalta?

Oh yes, I did it and quit smoking. Chantix works on nicotinic receptors in your brain, unlike Cymbalta which work on seratonin and norepinephrine receptors. My Psychiatrist told me there should be no problems, although you might want to clear it with your Psychiatrist first.
Much luck in quitting smoking, its a hard thing to do.

good for you for wanting to quit smoking, it takes a lot of work, but will be worth it! However, be VERY CAREFUL, both of those meds are "anti-depressants" so tell your doc about them both. If combined, it could be over-medicating with two similar drugs. But it can't hurt to ask your doc about it. GOOD LUCK, and best wishes :)
That is what I am afraid of... think I will just stick to the patch and old fashioned will power! I stopped taking pain meds after 10 years for headaches cold turkey... so I CAN BEAT CIGS TOO... Laurie
