My elderly uncle has been on this drug for sometime and has been told that it is no longer being produced by MSD but has changed to a Spanish manufacturer. Can you confirm whether this is true and if the content will remain the same, as he is worried about the change. I presume it was manufactured under the name of Aldomet

It is possible that there is a change in manufacturer but the quality of medicine should be the same. The new pills should contain the same amount of methyldopa, as his current ones.
Please discuss his concerns with his doctor and hopefully you get some reassurance.
