Me. I'm 68 and found out when I was 20 that I was born with spina bifida occulta. My parents were told when I was a child that I must have had a "mild form of polio" because my legs were not the same size and my feet and toes were a mess that required surgery. And then more surgeries in my 30s. I passed this neurogenic disease to my daughter unknowingly and my sister also had neurospinal disease in the form of Arnold Chari (brain stem disorder) that killed her at age 59 from a botched surgery. I know how you feel if you're in severe chronic pain. It sucks, especially when the pain meds don't work.
