I'm on methadone & my clinic tests for pretty much everything, Don't have script so I'll be in for it if it shows up. I took it because I woke up with back spasms & pain & I can't stand up straight.

Hey dee dee,
Since carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant, I doubt that it will show up in a standard UA. What is called the half life for this drug and its metabolites is 10 hours meaning that half would be gone in 10 hours, then another half of that half in another ten hours, then another half of that half in another ten hours, etc. So depending on the number of milligrams you took it could stay in the system for quite a while.
When will you next test be?

Thanks so much for responding to me! That info was great. Okay, well I don't know when my next UA will be (they don't tell us that) BUT I go every Tuesday and get tested once a month. So a Tuesday of this month. I took a half of a 350 mg this morning. If I'm tested Tuesday morning do you think it will show? Thanks again, Dee
Hey dee,
Honestly don't think you have anything to worry about, but if they were able to pick up the muscle relaxant in the UA it would be detectable for approximately 60 hours after taking so you should be alright by Tuesday.

Man! I wanted to say... Saturday was the first time I've ever taken carisoprodol and it totally fixed me! I was able to stand up straight, take my dog for a walk, and do some errands. With only ONE 350 mg pill. Today is Sunday, I slept good last night and woke up still feeling great! Wow! This drug does what it's supposed to do!
Saturday was the first time I tried carisoprodol and it really did the trick! I could stand up straight, take my dog for a walk, do housework, cook, and run errands. With only ONE pill in the morning. It's now Sunday and I slept great and am still doing fine. Cuddos for carisprodol! It does what it's supposed to do!
Great, maybe you can get a prescription for it and continue taking. Are you taking the methadone for pain or for opiate detox? Maybe all you need for pain is the muscle relaxant. I would definitely talk to my doctor about this situation.
Good luck,
Laurie
The methadone is opiate detox. Kinda wish I hadn't of done it. I'm trying to get off the stuff. Been on it since 2006. Tired of the whole thing. It's hard to get off of. I've been trying for two years now. I constantly think about Suboxone and going that route. Found a hospital that will take my medical. When I'm down to 60 mg. they will put me in a semi-like coma and I won't feel the withdrawls from the methadone and then they release me with a script for Suboxone. It's either that or going down 1 mg a week for two long years. *sigh. :(
Yea, I understand how hard it is to get off of. You have to make a decision and then stick to it. You can get off the methadone, once you set your mind to. Might want to get that back pain undercontrol first. Can you go to a doctor and get a script for the muscle relaxant?
Sorry I didn't respond to you about that last time. I don't have back issues. It was just a weird fluke thing. I just started having some back pain & stiffness on Friday and on Saturday is was horrible. It was an isolated incident that doesn't ever happen to me. As for the methadone, I am coming down 1 mg. a week which at this rate is going to take me two years. That is sooooo long!
Anyway, thanks for talking to me. You're a very injoyable person to talk to!
Your welcome Dee dee, good luck with the taper. Unfortunately with Methadone slower is better. Hang in there!!
