Can you take anti acids with plavix?

Yes, you can take antacids with Plavix. It's probably best to separate the doses by 2 hours at least. (You shouldn't however take proton pump inhibitors such as omeprazole with Plavix as they reduce the effectiveness of Plavix).

My friend takes Plavix and has terrible stomach discomfort. He was on omeprozole and has been switched to a prescription prilosec. It does not help. What advise do you have?

I am currently on pantoprazole 40mg which seems to help
