my partner was given a prescription for Viagra from his GP, he was told he had to pay as a private patient and not an NHS patient he has not had to do this with other prescriptions from his GP, only the NHS charge. I would like to know if you are given a prescription and take it to the chemist can you pay the NHS cost of the prescription or does this not apply with Viagra even though you are diagnosed with erectile dysfunction by your GP
