Hi kathyll28, I have a very severe blood clotting disorder and have to take blood thinners (Coumadin and Lovenox) for the rest of my life. Yes, you can get a blood clot almost anywhere. I have had them in my legs, lungs, left arm and my neck so if you suspect a clot you really need to get an ultrasound on it to see and fast, blood clots anywhere can be dangerous if left untreated. Not trying to scare you but trying to protect you from the pain I have been through with them. With ultrasound they can tell right away and get treatment started immediately. I wish you the best of luck with this. marjorie zych
