Can xopenex be mixed with atrovent via neb?

This is coming straight for my mother who has been a respiratory therapist for about 17 years. She says yes you can. She does breathing treatments on patients daily so I'd trust her.

I have several foil packs of Atrovent 0.02% Inhalation Solution that have expiration dates of?

MAR 00. I know many drugs don't really "expire.' Is this one of them. Who knows... I may need them some day.
