Can xanax reduce the effectiveness of the birth control I am on estrostep?

I know that temazepam can all interfere with the effectiveness of your birth control which is a benzodiazepine. I'm not sure about Xanax. A good place to find out is your local pharmacy. Give them a call. They're always willing to answer your questions. Hope this helps. Good luck!
