The manufacturer of Testim has a one year program to reduce the cost of the drug for those in financial need. However, it occurs to me that once you start using it, you may become "dependant" upon it. This fits the classic definition of dependancy or addiction, even though we don't normally think of a hormone as a chemical dependancy.
Has anyone had any withdrawl problems? Does anyone else see this as perhaps an ethical problem? Please discuss.
Can use of Testim be considered "addictive" in nature? That is, once you start, you can't stop?

I know this is an old question, but it's an important one. Since no one answered I have 2 cents to put in.
I'm not sure addictive is the proper word for what happens with Testim, but my Doc told me if I start to use I won't be able to stop. He didn't explain why. So maybe I'm lucky because every time I have tried it I became more depressed. I thought it was my imagination so I waited 8 months and tried it again. It still made me more depressed. So I don't use it. Considering it's habit forming, I'm probably better off this way.
