It could cause severe allergic reactions (swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue)

Swelling on the face could perhaps be the cause of the hearing problem & feeling of cotton stuffed in your ears, however it would be best to talk with your doc./pharmacist who prescribed the med, hope this helps?
