It depends on his tolerance and whether or not he has ever taken opioid pain meds before. It also depends on the milligrams of the morphine, whether it is short acting or long acting. It also depends on what he is taking the medicine for. It does seem like a lot of medicine but if he has a severe painful syndrome and has tolerance to opioids then it may be what he needs to control pain. If he has never taken pain meds before then it may be too much medicine but I doubt that a Dr would prescribe this much in an opioid naive patient.
