My normal white count for years has been between 3.1 and 3.9. After being on Fosamax for about 8 months my white count has fallen to 2.9.

Hi
No it should not, I checked and there is no side effect related to white blood cells , but to be on the safe side, my friend.
Some side effects for Fosamax may not be reported. Always consult your doctor or healthcare specialist for medical advice. You may also report side effects to the FDA at http://www.fda.gov/medwatch/ or 1-800-FDA-1088 (1-800-332-1088).
Good luck
